Skip to main navigation listHer favourite medium has always been watercolour, but for the last few years she has been producing highly detailed graphites of animals and children, which are extremely popular with collectors. Maureen loves trying to capture light, movement and atmosphere in her work.
Maureen sells her artwork in galleries in St Ives, Padstow and other galleries around Cornwall, Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Her exhibitions have raised over £5000 for various charities including Macmillan Cancer Care, the Samaritans, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club. Until the end of December 2014 Maureen is holding a sale of paintings from her home in aid of Children's Hospice South West. In support of this very worthy cause Maureen has already raised over £1500.
Last year she was elected as a member of the Birmingham Watercolour Society and has sold paintings at their exhibitions. She is also a member of The Wildlife Art Society International.
Maureen has recently returned from the House of Lords where she had afternoon tea and was given a prize in the portrait section for her painting (illustrated) of Dave The Blacksmith entered into the EAC Art Awards - this was 1 of 26 prizes out of over 6000 paintings.
She was featured in Cornish magazines to commemorate the bicentenary of Richard Trevithick inventing the Puffing Devil and also to commemorate Donald Healey’s centenary. She has also been featured in The Wildlife Artists magazine.
Her paintings are hung worldwide and have been used by national card companies.
