Alternatively head to one of the organised Easter events in Cornwall such as one of the Children's Hospice South West events - fun days for a great cause (see calendar below)

Surfing Cornwall

By Easter in Cornwall the sea is starting to warm up, the lifeguards are on duty at some of the beaches so it can be a great time to make the most of the waves and grab your surf board. Opt for a lesson with a professional surf school or choose a lifeguarded beach. View our list of the top ten places to surf Cornwall together with details of people offering surf lessons.

Parrot Paradise Park

There are lots of attractions in Cornwall to visit and lots of fun things to do in Cornwall. Camel Creek Adventure Park is a great fun day out in Cornwall and Heartlands is an excellent free Cornwall attraction, the Cornish Cyder Farm has lots going on or visit the world famous Jamaica Inn or for rainy days in Cornwall try Cornwall's Regimental Museum or The National Maritime Museum. For more ideas of where to go at Easter in Cornwall see our lists of attractions in Cornwall or, take a look at the Calendar below to see what easter events in Cornwall are going on.

There are lots of special Easter Events in Cornwall over the Easter holidays. Have a look at the calendar of Cornwall Easter Events below to see what is going on near you.

Take to your bike and enjoy a ride along the beautiful Camel Trail. See Snail's Pace Bike hire and cafe for info and Mena Caravan and Camping site for nearby Cornwall accommodation

Grab some hot cross buns, boiled eggs (decoration optional) and other easter goodies and head for the countryside or beach for an Easter picnic, great things to do at Easter in Cornwall. A great way to make the most of the hopefully beautiful Spring weather. You may even see some lambs and you could add Easter Egg Rolling - boil and paint the eggs, find a hill and see who wins. Tanglewood Gardens is an excellent place for a picnic and an adventure.

Pendennis Castle Cornwall

There are some fabulous castles in Cornwall to explore and visiting a castle can be a fun Easter day out in Cornwall, even if the Easter weather is colder than we would like. The views over the cliffs and sea from some of the castles are tremendous. View our list of Castles in Cornwall for ideas.

Praa Sands Beach Coornwall

The beautiful sandy beaches in Cornwall are what the area is so famous for and so are a definite to do for Easter in Cornwall whatever the weather. If the Easter weather is good then the beach is ideal for a lazy day or taking to the waves on a lifeguarded beach. In bad weather you can blow the cobwebs away with a blustery walk and wave watching over a hot chocolate. View our list of the top ten beaches in Cornwall for ideas.

For the adults why not treat yourself to a well earned relax in a spa. The Ooh La La Beauty Spa and Leisure facilities at the Hotel Victoria look fantastic as do those at the Green Room Spa at the Greenbank Hotel and the sea views from the hotel are amazing.

St Micheals Mount Marazion Cornwall

Easter holidays in Cornwall can be a good time for some of the activities on the National Trust's list of things to do before you are 11 3/4. You could camp out in the wild, build an Easter den, hunt for treasure (or easter eggs) on the beach, visit an island - St Michael's Mount is nearly an Island and if you visit at high tide you have to take a boat - make a grass trumpet, watch the sun wake up - even more amazing when it is over the sea or maybe set if that is too early and then you can see it disappear into the sea if you choose the right spot - or go wild swimming in the sea (not too wild though make sure you choose a lifeguarded spot)

Just for a bit of Easter fun you could incorporate catching a boat or ferry into your day out. There are lots of places in Cornwall where you can hop on a boat for a short ride across the estuary to somewhere different or venture a little further. Even a short boat ride can be really good fun and can get you to somewhere it would have taken ages to drive to. Have a look at our list of Boat Rides Cornwall for some ideas.

Rainy Day Easter Holidays

If the weather is not good there is still a lot to do in Cornwall over the Easter Holidays. Take a look at our Top Ten Rainy Day Things To Do Cornwall for some ideas.

Indoor and outdoor, weather permitting, farmers market event in Cornwall. Facing the Atlantic and a mile from Lands End, Sennen is the most westerly village in the country. Centuries ago, the Cove was at the centre of the pilchard fishing industry and also had a notorious reputation as a base for smugglers and wreckers. Today Sennen is known for its RNLI lifeboat station, for the glorious west facing sweep of Whitesand Bay, for its rugged scenery and great surf. Very much at the heart of the local community, Sennen Market opened in May 2009 to provide an outlet for the areas wide range of local produce. The market was voted as Cornwalls Farmers Market of the year 2010. Hugely popular with tourists in high season, the market is also a focus for the local community as a meeting place for residents of all ages. With all sorts of delicious things to eat, the stallholders at Sennen Farmers Market offer a variety of local food, plants and herbs, cards, jewellery, wood carving and other Cornish crafts. Every Tuesday 9am to 12 noon
