The National Trust property at Cotehele is a Tudor house set in magnificent gardens on the banks of the River Tamar. One of the leading Cornwall attractions Cotehele is well worth a visit. Once the ancestral home of the Edgcumbe family the house is decorated with tapestries, arms and armour, pewter, brass and old oak furniture. The interior tour has changed little over the years and retains a strong sense of history. Outside there are formally planted terraces to wander in and admire, or you can lose yourself in the Valley Garden, which includes a medieval stewpond and dovecote and leads down to the river. Godolphin House and Estate is situated at Godolphin Cross near Helston in West Cornwall. One of the finest Cornwall attractions, Godolphin House was one of the most fashionable houses in Cornwall in the 17th century. It is open to the public on selected dates through the year and so if you are looking for things to do in Cornwall this National Trust Property could make a nice day out. Considered to be one of the most romantic and concealed stately homes in England. A real family home, full of remarkable stories, visitors will be able to view the house very much as the day-to-day residence of Lord and Lady St Germans.

With art works by Reynolds Romney, Ramsey, Van Dyck and mural by Lenkiewicz covering the wall of the Soane Round Room. Outside are the accessible beautiful Park and gardens, Priory church and tea rooms. Private guided tours of the house and basement are available, a chance to see the Dowton type under stairs and a candle lit wine cellar.

Dogs are very welcome to go around the gardens on lead and on Wednesday afternoons may run free on the Park.
