Charlestown harbour is still used but predominantly by local fishermen returning with their catch. The town has maintained lots of character and has not been overdeveloped. The harbour and seaside resort of Looe, the quaint Polperro with the old streets winding down to the harbour, Fowey with amazing sea views, narrow streets to investigate and a cosmopolitan feel to the harbour side area, the pretty village of Charlestown where if you are lucky you will see the tall ship in the harbour. Or the riverside town of Lostwithiel - a haven for antique shops.
