The Lizard Peninsula Cornwall offers beautiful inland countryside and rivers, beaches, attractions and park estates to visit. It has excellent walking along the Cornish coastal path, river banks and countryside, numerous golden Cornish beaches to enjoy and fishing villages to explore. The fishing villages of Coverack Cornwall and Cadgwith on the Lizard Peninsula and beaches of Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands and Poldhu are all worth visiting.

For camping on the Lizard Peninsula, Henry's Campsite is a welcoming, small, family run Cornwall Campsite where you can really get away from it all. They are also a dog friendly campsite in Cornwall outside the school holidays.

The wind swept village of Lizard Cornwall right at the head of the peninsula is famous for serpentine and the craft shops have displays of all sorts of things made from the beautiful rock. RNAS Culdrose is also just on the Lizard Peninsula and it has a viewing enclosure where you can watch the various crafts take off and land, offers tours (booking required and be aware of restrictions and identification requirements) and their Air Day provides an alternative day out.

The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek on the Lizard Peninsula is a good place to visit and enables you to see seals, otters and sea lions close up and see some swimming under water at the glass viewing area. You can visit the seal hospital and see how they rescue the seals that get in trouble around the Cornish Coast. There is plenty of parking, refreshments and toilets and a children's information trail at the sanctuary, it is a paid attraction. Gweek is a small village set on the edge of the Helford river. It has a convenience store, pub and tea room in busy seasons.

Trelowarren Estate Lizard CornwallTrelowarren is an historic 1000 acre private estate. There are set walks around the estate and you can get a map to follow these.
