WEDDINGS CORNWALL Civil Wedding Ceremony Information

Civil Marriages Cornwall

Winter Wedding Flowers Cornwall

Civil Ceremonies are none religious marriage ceremonies and are a popular alternative to being married in a Church or a religious ceremony. A Civil ceremony is conducted by the local Superintendent Registrar.

Civil Ceremonies in Cornwall can take place in one of the Cornwall Registration Offices or they can take place in a wedding venue in Cornwall which has been approved to hold Civil Ceremonies such as a hotel, manor house, castle, or attraction - an approved venue.

If you would like to get married in Cornwall and do not live in Cornwall or live in Cornwall but would like to marry outside the district of your residence then a Civil Ceremony in Cornwall can be easier to organise than a Church wedding in Cornwall. A Church wedding often requires attendance at the Church you are to be married in which can be difficult if you do not live nearby (although you should talk to the minister of the Church to check their requirements).

For a Civil Ceremony you can choose to marry in any Registration Office or Approved Venue in or outside your district of residence. Once you have chosen the setting for your wedding in Cornwall check that the date is available with the venue and if you choose to marry in an approved wedding venue in Cornwall you must also check that the Registration Officer in the area is available to conduct your ceremony on that day. Make sure you have both venue and registrar provisionally booked before you make any firm plans.
