Dog Friendly Beaches St Ives Cornwall

Dog friendly beaches all year St Ives area and Hayle Cornwall

The area around St Ives and Hayle has some fabulous places to visit and many your dog will enjoy too. But it can be difficult to find dog friendly beaches in the summer months. Some of the Hayle sandy beaches allow dogs all year and accross the estuary Porthkidney Beach with beautiful views over St Ives Bay allows dogs. Bamaluz a small beach in the town of St Ives is also a favourite dog friendly meeting spot. Below is a list of beaches which are dog friendly all year round. There are also some great days out with your dog in Cornwall - see our Days Out With Dogs page for some ideas.

St Ives Cornwall

Bamaluz beach is quite a small beach backed by large walls in the town of St Ives Cornwall. It is a sand and pebble Beach accessed by steep steps and backed by large rocks of which very little is accessible at high tide. Bamaluz is the only beach in St Ives which is dog friendly all year and so can get a little crowded with dogs at busy times. Only really worth visiting if you have a dog and probably not worth visiting for a day on the beach, but if you are in St Ives and have a dog and catch it at a quiet time it can be a lovely place for your dog to have a run on the beach or to relax for a while. No facilities actually at the beach but lots nearby. To access the beach park at one of the St Ives car parks and follow the coast from the harbour towards Porthgwidden beach and you will pass Bamaluz.
