Afternoon Tea at Trelowarren Retreat

Trelowarren Christian Resource Centre and Chapel occupies part of the Mansion House at Trelowarren a grade 1 listed building of significant architectural heritage. Once a month on the first Saturday from 2-6pm the house is open for visitors to enjoy afternoon tea.
Taking tea either in the library or the drawing roomwhere you can imagine the conversation’s that took place between Clara Vyvyan herself a successful author andDaphne -du- Maurier a frequent visitor to the house. Enjoy the grand piano being professionally played in the background and drink in the tranquil ambience. Keep warm by the roaring log fires in the winter whilst appreciating the numerous architectural styles spanning several centuries. The Strawberry Hill Gothic in the Chapel, the regency panelling in the drawing room, the neo classical entrance hall and the Victorian library. Once tea has finished you can wander through into the morning room art gallery and view paintings by local artists in addition to the ones already hung in the drawing room, all of which are for sale. Some months there will also be an artist in residence.
The cost of afternoon tea is £12.50 per person.

How to find us
Enter the Trelowarren Estate through the main gates; the drive is approx1 mile long and over two cattle grids. You will then go through a set of large Gothic Gates and keep straight on ignoring all signs for restaurant shops etc Go through another set of gate posts follow the drive round passed the house and eventually you will come to the car park

Facilities
The Mansion House is a grade 1 listed building and as such has limited facilities for disabled people. However, we can accommodate people in a wheelchair-please could you inform us in advance so we can ensure help is available
