Whats on this week in Cornwall for all the family - Megavissey Feast Week is a week long outdoor event in Cornwall. A very special time of traditional Cornish food, fun and festivities. Mevagissey Feast week begins with the Fish Festival when local restaurants give demonstrations on the Harbour and has a fantastic firework display over the harbour on the last Saturday evening. Here's what the organisers have to say - Mevagissey has celebrated the "Feast of St Peter" since 1754. It has evolved into a wonderful community event, where we welcome locals, exiles and visitors to join us in our celebrations. The Feast Week Committee have worked very hard to produce a full week of activities which we invite you all to partake in. There is no charge for the majority of events organised, but this is your festival and we rely on you to keep it alive, so please support the events, enter the Carnival and give generously to the collectors during the week. One of the great family friendly things to do in Cornwall this weekend.

205 miles, 3 days, 3 counties, 3 hospices... Ride for Precious Lives is one of the highlights in our events calendar, it is our yearly 205 mile three day cycle challenge. The ride takes in each of our three children's hospices - Little Harbour near St Austell, Little Bridge House near Barnstaple and Charlton Farm near Bristol. The buzz and camaraderie between the cyclists over the three days is one of the event's big draws. This exceptional event attracts cyclists of all abilities and has raised over £335,000 in the last five years! Cyclists who have taken part have been inspired by the children and families they met along the way at our three hospices, together with the care team and family members that take part too - and it is this that makes the Ride for Precious Lives a truly unique cycle event and a must on any cyclist's calendar.
