Pendeen Farmers Market is a great local community event in Cornwall run by volunteers. The Market runs every 1st and 3rd Saturday in the month and takes place in The Centre of Pendeen, Pendeen, Cornwall TR19 7SE. So if you are looking for weekend what's on in Cornwall this could be for you. It is a friendly event where a warm welcome awaits you and offers a variety of locally produced, quality food and products. The Market runs from 10am to 1pm.

This is a dog friendly event in Cornwall, so you can pop in if you are enjoying a day out with your dog in Cornwall.  The organisers have a receptionist who is their dog minder, (dogs are not allowed into the hall where all the food is sold) or owners can leave their dogs  tied up outside the front door.

Parking is easy and free, and local buses stop nearby. In the summer the famous open top bus (Explorer 300) stops in Pendeen. You can hop off, shop and then hop on the next bus to visit nearby St Just or St Ives Cornwall. Easy!

They started a small cottage nursery three years ago and concentrate on farmers and produce markets and small independent outlets. What they sell depends on the season and includes bulbs and evergreens, Bill’s handmade trugs and bird boxes, Vegetable plants (eg broad beans, peas, tomato and small range of herbs), bedding plants, baskets, pots, troughs and specimen plants, holly and mistletoe.

Bosavern Community Farm - Bosavern Farm spans about 36 acres and was the last County-owned farm in Penwith. Rosewarne Apiary trades at Pendeen Farmers Market twice a month. It is run by Rachel and Steve who have been keeping bees for about five years. They were only ever going to have two hives but have gradually built up to twenty hives on three sites in Cornwall. Their queens are a strain of Buckfast bee, very mild, calm and productive. The bees have led  them develop lots of different skills, making candles, soap, fudge. The most important thing for them is to make sure that their bees have all they need to keep them going - and for local pollination.

Sophie’s Touch. Sophie Tolomio trades at Pendeen Farmers Market on the 3rd Saturday of every month and offers home made goodies that she prepares herself from knowledge down from generation to generation within her family on both sides. Products include delicious marinated feta and creamy goat cheeses, cured lemons, flavoured vinegars and infused olive oil. Her distinctive fruit jams and syrups are very popular and can form the basis of wonderful desserts.  Sophie also has a range of baskets, so you can create your own gift hamper.

Sweet Moments. Owner Siggi Hawken trades at Pendeen Farmers Market twice a month. She offers cakes, event catering and bespoke wedding cakes decorated with fresh flowers).
